Restoration works in Ortakoy and Eyup Districts

Ortakoy, a district alongside the beautiful Bosphorus, is a historical and touristic center attracting both domestic and foreign visitors. A ruined building which was used to be a school in Ottoman times had been distorting the nice view of Ortakoy for decades. Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality attempted to change this ughly image: the whole building has been completely restored from basement to roof. Close attention was given to  wood works and enlightment fittings to give a historical athmosphere. The building will be used as a cultural center with its impressive and surprising new face.

This project includes restoration of an abandoned building which is located right next to world-famous Golden Horn. The building was once a musicians cafe in Eyup district. Restoration works which have revived the cafe enables people of Istanbul to regain their forgotten cafe.
