Reinforcement Against Earthquake

Fire brigade buildings play a vital role in emergency situations, particularly after earthquakes. Hence, they must be strong enough to resist earhquakes in order to take action in tragic cases. The key point is structural endurance of buildings. Technology we applied in reinforcement involves anchoring iron fittings into columns using chemical bounding agents, enlarging size of columns to carry more load, building additional walls and columns to increase resistivity against earthquake, and demolishing redundant walls and columns.

This project includes not only structural reinforcement but also renovation works, i.e. completely renewing the looking of the buildings. Almost each fine work such as painting, floor coatings, rest rooms has been renewed. After successive three contracts, more than 20 fire brigade buildings around Istanbul have been delivered to Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality.
